🎶 MEET OUR FOUNDER: MELISSA 🎶

Melissa has been coaching music for over 14 years, beginning as a teaching assistant at her local music school in Ballarat.
With an AMusA in Voice and a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Dance, she brings a well rounded understanding of performing arts as a whole.

In 2019, she founded Sth Side with a vision: to modernise music education into something more empowering, personal, and performance-driven. 💥

When she’s not teaching you’ll find her:
🎤 Performing across weddings & corporate events with Melbourne’s top agency’s
🧘‍♀️Doing or teaching Pilates and mentoring the next generation of instructors
⛰️ Adventuring

🥔 Fave food/drink: Hot chips & aioli forever. Also, daily soy flat white = essential.
🎧 Fave artist: Frank Ocean, hands down. ‘I always find something new in his music and this was the artist that inspired me to experiment’
🌍 What you might not know: Mel is an adrenaline junkie—she’s summited Everest Base Camp, and bungee jumped + skydived twice!
💛 Fave thing about teaching: Watching students grow in confidence as they learn to trust themselves, and watching them develop their own artistry.
