THIS SUNDAY AT STINGO BLUES - Aaron Schembri
This week at STINGO BLUES the fabulous Aaron Schembri is bringing his dirt blues to get down with the Stingo's Blow Out Band..
Aaron began performing around Melbourne in his first local pub band at age 15. By 17 he had started performing with and developed a close relationship with the late Ross Hannaford of DADDY COOL. In 2015 Aaron began recording his debut album ‘City Lights’, consisting of nine original songs and an old Robert Johnson blues cover – ‘Come on in My Kitchen’. Highlights of the album were a tribute to Aaron’s late grandfather Fred Schembri; the first ever duet between Russell Morris and Colleen Hewett; and a tribute to the late great Australian guitarist Ross Hannaford, who mentored Aaron through the early stages of his career.
Currently Aaron works with Ross 'Eagle Rock' Wilson on main guitar duties. Aaron has recently released 'The Setting Sun' and 'The Lockdown Sessions' to rave reviews and in top positions on the iTunes and streaming charts.

Blues axe, biting the air with a blues holler – is this the delta, the sweat in the cotton?
With a burning passion to perform the blues since early teens, Bill Barber bends the medium to his will. Bill won the MBAS Youth in Blues, and recently with barnstorming THE HOLDING CELL - all reaching the semi-finals at the IBC in Memphis.
Mentored by Geoff Achison and Lloyd Spiegel and now very much his own man, come hear what all the buzz is about – authentic blues delivered with style and power, and on May 10 backed by the fabulous Stingo Blues Band - Peter Hodges (Drums), Cam Walter (Guitar), Peter Beulke (Bass), Salty Trevarthen (Harp).

THIS SUNDAY EZRA LEE and BAND
Get boogified with keyboard powerhouse Ezra Lee this Sunday!
Raised on rockabilly and country out of Tamworth NSW, Ezra now plies that keyboard boogie and vox from his base in the bohemia of Melbourne town. Ezra got on the road at 14 with Johnny Greens Blues Cowboys, and was schooled along the way by Dr John (N’awlins) and Johnny Johnson (Chuck Berry’s main man).
He’s played and toured Europe, UK and Oz with the best and and he's just about to leave for a Japan tour.
This is a hardcore mash of truckabilly, bar stool blues, beer stained weepers and juke joint boogie mixed in with hints of Western Swing and Cajun spice. This is tough stuff.
