Winner - Bake Off Christmas in July 2026
Congratulations to Jai Johns of Better Now Bakes https://www.instagram.com/betternow_bakes.
Jai won our Christmas in July Bake Off with their stunning Mulled Wine Poached Pear Pavlova and was awarded The Elements of Baking cookbook and an engraved palette knife.
It comes as no surprise to see Jai taking out the winning votes this Christmas in July edition, after being a contestant on The Great Australian Bake Off Season 9 and doing us all so very proud.
After the huge response to our last Bake Off - Vegout Edition, we trialled 3 queues to help reduce the lines out the front doors. It definitely helped, but it still needs some tweaking for the next Bake Off. For that reason, we are holding off on releasing the next round of tickets until we have a better system in place.
For those who do not want to miss out, please follow The Vegan Vegout on Humanitix to receive updates when the next Bake Off tickets are released:

Next Bake Off hint: Death by Chocolate.
For those wondering, there were well over 2,000 desserts sold in just 3 hours across the 7 bakers. Each baker created exclusive specials with only a few weeks to perfect them and, because freshness is everything, most spent the week preparing and the final 24 hours making anywhere from 150 to 750 items each.
A huge thank you to the incredible people who helped bring this event to life. Please support these amazing vegan-friendly and community-minded small businesses for your next event, celebration or booking.

Welcome To Thornbury
A very special thank you to Scott Assender of Welcome to Thornbury. Scotty has been a champion of Woking Amazing, The Vegan Vegout, Nup to the Cup, Bake Off and me as an organiser from the very beginning of our relationship with Welcome to Thornbury.
It is rare to come across someone like Scotty, and it is still hard for me to put into words just how much his support has meant. Woking Amazing, The Vegan Vegout, Nup to the Cup and Bake Off would not be here without him.
Please head down to Welcome to Thornbury for a night out and support a venue that deserves so much love. Without Welcome to Thornbury, there would be no Bake Off, no Nup to the Cup, no Vegout and no Woking Amazing in the way you know it.
We all know times are tough for hospitality and small businesses, so please have a night out, bring your friends, bring your fur babies and support a venue that continues to support our community.
