MOVEMENT STANDARDS
ROW
Athletes start on the rower with hands behind their back until 3,2,1,Go.
Athletes cannot make an attempt to get off the rower until they see the required metres.
The damper setting and foot positions may be adjusted by the athlete at any time during the row.

MOVEMENT STANDARDS

WALL BALL
The medicine ball must be taken from the bottom of a squat, hip crease below the knee and thrown to hit the specified target.

The centre of the ball must hit the target at or above the specified target height. If the ball hits lower or does not hit the wall, the rep does not count!

Athlete must squat below parallel for the rep to count.

DUMBBELL SN**CH
The movement begins with the dumbbell on the ground and finishes with the dumbbell directly above the head.

Both ends of the Dumbbell must touch the ground.

At no point is the non-working hand permitted to touch the body during the repetition

The dumbbell must move above the head in one continuous motion

Athletes must alternate hands between each repetition

Dumping or bouncing of the dumbbell is not permitted

Athletes can switch hands at any point once the repetition has passed through the top of the movement.

If a no rep is received, the athlete is not required to complete the rep on the same arm and can continue on.

The Aussie Throwdown Final 2021 workouts will be released this Saturday at 6am!

Online athletes have until Dec 5th to submit scores and videos.

Hosts of the Aussie Throwdown 1 day live Final are:

PerFit Health & Wellness - Ballarat, VIC
CrossFit Kanga - Seventeen Mile Rocks, QLD
Blue Lake CrossFit - Mount Gambier, SA

Date: December 5th

These live events are open to all athletes around the country who are in a position to attend.

If you would like to compete live but have not yet confirmed, please do so ASAP by email @ [email protected] so we can finalise schedules for the day.

Double vaccination rules apply for in person live events

If you can not make a live final, that is ok. The workouts are created so they can be completed via online submission.

Please see online submission rules below:
1. All 4 workouts must be completed in order on the same day and within an 8 hour period.
2. Scores and videos must be submitted into Competition Corner by 6pm on Dec 5th, AEST
3. Athletes must add time stamps to each video. Athletes can show the date and time on a phone if that’s easiest.

There will be no presentations at our live events as we need to collect all scores and review online videos before we announce our 2021 Aussie Throwdown podium winners.

Aussie Throwdown Final 2021

As you may have expected, the 2021 Aussie Throwdown dates and format has changed.

Please take a moment to read through the new format below.

Date: Dec 4-5th 2021

Location: Online with the possibility of still having a live event running for those who can make it to PerFit Health & Wellness Ballarat, Victoria (state restrictions pending)

If this live event can go ahead, it will be combined with competing athletes from the Australian Functional Fitness Federation and MastersHQ.

The workouts will all be the same so if any athlete has qualified for multiple events (mentioned above) their score will be submitted into each platform. There will also be a discount for those competing in multiple events.

Format: 2 days, 3 workouts per day. If competing via online submission the following order must be followed:
3 workouts on day 1 within 8 hour time window.
3 workouts on day 2 within 8 hour time window.

Workouts can be completed in order within 1 day if needed.

Winners from each division will gain free entry into the 2022 Aussie Throwdown Online Qualifier! We are looking forward to a big year next year!

Finals workouts will be released on November 19th!
