2020 Australian Flyball Nats - Dandenong The 2020 Australian Flyball Nationals has regrettably been cancelled

The Nationals 2020 committee comprising Frankston Dog Club, Vic Weiners Flyball, and Berwick Flyball have decided that is in the best interests of all competitors and dogs, officials, and the organising committee to cancel the 2020 National Championships that was scheduled to be held over the Easter weekend in 2021.
This decision has not been made lightly, but given the current circumstances that remain in Victoria, along with recent government announcements, it was felt that the circumstances for April are not definitive enough to continue. Our utmost priority being the safety and fitness of all competition dogs who are unable to train and compete after long periods off, as well as considering our fellow interstate competitors’ plans and providing as much notice as possible.
We look forward to getting the Nationals back in Victoria again some time in the future

Prior to the new lockdown and stage 3 restrictions in Victoria we had postponed the 2020 Nationals til Easter 2021. We know the reaction to this was mixed but the organisers and the AFA committee felt that it was the best option. With the restrictions as they now are, nothing is definite, however we feel there is no harm in leaving the 2020 Nationals Plan B as April 2021 and reevaluating later in the year, there is no harm in remaining hopeful in a time where nothing is certain 🎾🐾🎾

With the recent cancellation of Dandenong show the organisers of the 2020 Flyball nationals have come to the unfortunate decision to cancel the November 2020 Nationals. We are actively trying to postpone to Easter 2021 in Frankston and whilst we know this isn’t ideal it may be a workable compromise, we hope to confirm this in the next few weeks, please share with your fellow flyballers, regards Bel and the rest of the team

Hey Flyballers, we know Nationals is a hot topic for a lot of us with all the current Covid restrictions and we wanted to update you that we are in communication with Dandenong show and keeping an eye on all the restrictions particularly the interstate border closures but that no definite decision has been made yet, we expect to have more information some time towards the start of June and as soon as we have any answers we will let you all know 🎾🎾🎾

Hi all, for everyone looking at their calendars and their initial planning for next years 2020 Nationals, it will be held at the Dandenong Show on the 14-16th November. The 14th & 15th are the main days and we will have Open racing and Singles & Pairs on Monday 16th. Thanks 🌈
