ON TODAY AND TOMORROW!

Art, Design and Good times!

This weekend is the next edition of the Coburg Makers Market.

Held at Coburg Studios, 69 Charles st Coburg North. The markets are held in the undercover carpark and across two levels of Coburg Studios.

It’s a great chance to check out and support local creatives and also see into some of the creative studios, with a number opening their doors.

Plenty happening upstairs too with:

""Framed and Fired"" group show happening across the weekend in first floor gallery. The exhibition will feature the work of:

Janine has always loved making stuff, using whatever was found around; this continues today through her creative business 'Field Studies', which involves gathering found objects, printmaking, painting and carving wax to make silver rings and things.

Late in 2024, Janine started Field Studies Studio and Gallery in Central Victoria, which incorporates 'NO SNOBS GALLERY', but also loves being a part of Coburg Makers Market.

UNDER COVER

The weather is looking ok for the weekend. The markets are held in the undercover carpark at Coburg Studios, so they hold up pretty well in all weather! Come on down and check it out over the weekend.

Most stallholders will have facilities to take cards, otherwise cash is appreciated to save of transaction fees. The closest ATM is at the Coles complex on Gaffney st.

Public transport:
10-15min walk from Batman Station on the Upfield Line
10-15min walk from 19 Tram, stop Gaffney st/ Sydney Rd
Short walk from bus stops on Gaffney st or Sussex st

Cycle
Take Upfield bike path to Batman station and ride down Charles st to the studios. Take care of traffic. There are bike hoops for parking opposite the studio.

Driving
Limited on street parking around studio. Please be aware of parking restrictions.
3hr free parking at Saccas (best for groceries) and Coles complexes Lens / Gaffney st (3min walk from studio) or Bunnings complex (10min walk from studio)

The first floor and top floor is accessible by stairs only.

Bathrooms
There is an accessible portaloo in the carpark area. More toilets are available inside and upstairs.

Quieter spaces
There’s some seating in the loading bay area near the kids art space and also on the first floor to take a break.
