The next "Musical Theatre Melodies" broadcast on 96.5 FM on Tuesday, 28th June will feature The Musicals of PETER PINNE and DON BATTYE (in tribute to the late Don Battye).

Highlights will include:
RED, WHITE & BOOGIE and SWEET F***Y ADAMS from the 1983 Australian studio cast recording starring Robyn Arthur and Lance Strauss.

The segment also includes a 'live' telephone interview with composer/lyricist, writer and Australian Musical Theatre historian* PETER PINNE from Brisbane, discussing the background history of the musicals.

The remainder of the broadcast will feature Peter's song selections from the Pinne & Battyte musicals:
- A BUNCH OF RATBAGS
- CAROLINE
- JACK AND THE BEANSTALK
- THE SHOEMAKER AND THE ELVES
- THE EMPERPRS NEW CLOTHES

STEALING PICASSO - Rehearsed Reading (Joel Paskowski & Tom Reed)

Stealing Picasso is an adaptation of the novel ‘Stealing Picasso’ by Anson Cameron. The story, based on the theft of the painting, ‘The Weeping Woman’, from the National Gallery of Victory in 1986, concerns aspiring artist Harry Broome who is forced to steal the painting to repay a debt and falls into a chaotic world of bikies, drugs and art critics.
