TOOLS for AFTER Tools for After: the Italian way of facing the Anthropocene. An idea by Angelo Gioè (IIC Melbourne)

Tools for After is a project promoted by the Italian Cultural Institute of Melbourne, ideated by its Director Angelo Gioè and curated by the architect and writer Maurizio Corrado. It presents the Italian way of facing the challenges of the Anthropocene, involving sectors in which Italy is internationally recognised for the style and originality of its proposals: DESIGN, ARCHITECTURE, CINEMA, FOOD,

LANDSCAPE, SCIENCE and LITERATURE. Winner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation's Capitals of Creativity call, the project will take the form of the Festival of Italian Creativity in Melbourne from 14 September to 22 October 2023. Programme:

Opening of the Tools for After Festival - Fitzroy Town Hall

14 Sep - 10 Oct:
Design, Architecture and Science Exhibition - Fitzroy Town Hall

14 Sep - 20 Oct:
Food Festival - Location TBA

1 - 8 - 15 Oct:
Screenings of Italian short films - Cinema Capitol

16 - 22 October:
Debate between scientists and writers on sustainability issues - XXIII Week of the Italian Language in the World - Location TBA
