WORLD BACHATA FESTIVAL MELBOURNE 2027 — OFFICIAL DATES ANNOUNCEMENT!

For the past three years, WBFM has proudly been held in the fourth week of June, building a tradition that dancers, schools, and artists across Australia and beyond have come to expect and love.

On 20 April 2026, we announced that the 2027 edition would continue this tradition on 25–27 June 2027.

In June 2026, another organizer announced their event on the exact same dates.

Rather than allow this overlap to divide our community, we are stepping forward with leadership and respect. WBFM will move its 2027 edition to the first weekend of June 4–6 June 2027.

💛 WBFM will always keep Melbourne’s Latin dance scene thriving.

To our loyal dancers and supporters,

With great regret, we are announcing that World Bachata Festival Melbourne, originally planned for June 2026, will be postponed to 25–27 June 2027.

This was a very difficult decision. After reviewing our overall event direction, we realised that moving the festival to next year will allow us to deliver the experience and quality our community truly deserves. We want to honour your loyalty by giving you a festival that feels strong, stable, and beautifully prepared.

To everyone who has supported us from the beginning thank you for your trust, your patience, and your belief in this festival.

All existing tickets can be transferred to the 2027 edition, or you may contact us directly if you prefer a refund.
We will assist you with whichever option suits you best.

We will be back stronger next year.
