Hi Phoenix Leaguers! We are missing you all, but will be a couple of more weeks before we can complete this season’s games. Under revised Queensland Government restrictions there is no community sport for a period of 2 weeks. Pending decisions at this time, we aim to complete the last two rounds on 23 snd 30 August.

Our next season is still planned to start on September 6! I know we will all be excited to get back amongst it, so to make us all feel better, we are offering a 1 round discount to all existing teams who register for Season 3 by 22 August!!!

Plus, refer a new team and receive a further $50 discount!!! Just have your new team mention your team name in “how did you hear about us?” On the registration page below:

Important information for Phoenix League COVIDSafe procedures. Please read

With the Greater Brisbane Lockdown being lifted, Phoenix League will cautiously be proceeding as planned tomorrow night. Phoenix League operates under Easts Volleyball's COVID policies which can be found here: https://www.eastsvolleyball.club/covid-19.

Phoenix League will be operating with the following restrictions (Rounds 8-10):

All participants are required to wear face masks to avoid transmission

No participant will be permitted to enter without a mask being worn

Masks may be taken off during gameplay but must be worn when not on court including duties (except for First and Second Referee)

Participants may only enter the venue 10 minutes prior to their scheduled commitment (duty or match) and must leave 5 minutes after their commitment (the time indicated on the draw is start of warmup)

Spectators are discouraged from coming for at least the next two weeks

For spectators, please maintain a distance of at least 1.5m

QR Check-In continues to remain compulsory before entry - please show your sign-in to the Spectator Manager present

Please maintain social distancing and hand hygiene

Duty teams are required to sanitise the courts after the match with the help of the referees
This includes the match ball, nets and scorer's bench

There will be zero tolerance for abuse of staff. Abuse of any kind will lead to expulsion from the venue.

If you are experiencing symptoms, feeling sick, or have been to the current exposure sites in Brisbane (https://www.qld.gov.au/.../current-status/contact-tracing), do not attend. Phoenix League reserve the right to refuse entry, or expel, those who fail to follow the conditions of entry, or breach COVID Safety Protocols as stated above.

The lockdown placed on Greater Brisbane has been lifted (as of Saturday 3 July 2021 - 6pm). Restrictions continue across Greater Brisbane to reduce the risk of community transmission of COVID-19. Social Distancing requirements have now reverted back to 1 person per 4 square metres.

Further Covid-19 Update

With the announcement this morning that mandatory mask wearing will be back for South-East Queensland from 1am tomorrow morning, we are encouraging people to wear masks when entering and exiting the venue and when not actively involved in play from this evenings games. While not mandatory until tomorrow, we feel it’s the right thing to do to get a head start.

We’d also like to discourage spectators from attending tonight’s games and for the two week period of mandatory mask wearing.

Please remember hand hygiene and social distancing and minimising on court contact - eg hand shaking, hi-fives etc

Please see previous post below for current exposure sites and hot spots. If you’ve been to any of these places, please stay home. If you are sick, please stay home.

- Covid-19 Reminder and Update -

With Covid-19 cases floating around again and The situation in NSW, it’s timely to remind everyone of Covid-19 procedures.

Please follow the advice of Qld Health with regards to current exposure sites and hotspots interstate. You can find a list of these sites here:

If you are unwell, stay home.

If you can attend tonight’s games, please ensure that you check in using the Qld Government app, sanitise hands on entry and again on exit, and exit through the side door.
