In 2026, we stepped up our sustainability efforts to make the Cole Classic our most ocean-friendly event yet! 💙

Some of our highlights included:

🌿 Partnering with Surfrider Foundation Australia to support ocean conservation through our $5 bag drop initiative.

🌊 Continuing our commitment to protecting the beautiful ocean environment that makes the Cole Classic so special.

♻️ Working towards reducing our environmental footprint and making more sustainable choices across the event.

A huge thank you to our partners, volunteers and swimmers for helping us look after the ocean we all love.

🌊 The People’s Swim is going ALL-IN!

For 45 years, the Cole Classic has been about bringing people together through ocean swimming. In 2027, we’re taking that spirit of inclusivity one step further!

Introducing the Cole Classic ALL-IN 1km – a dedicated swim for people with disabilities who may benefit from additional support, space or confidence to enjoy the ocean swimming experience.

With just 50 places available in its inaugural year, ALL-IN is about creating more opportunities for everyone to experience the magic of the Cole Classic.

Because the ocean is for everyone. 💙

CanToo’s Summer Ocean Swim is back, and with sessions commencing next month, NOW is the time to lock in and get training for the Cole Classic!

Make this summer your strongest yet with weekly training sessions in both the pool and ocean, building your fitness, confidence, and safety in open water. Supported by their experienced Coaches, a welcoming swim community, and dedicated water safety partners, including SLSCs, you’ll develop the knowledge, skills, and experience to enjoy the ocean safely.

Whether you’re strengthening your ocean swimming confidence or chasing a new challenge, there’s a program for you:
