How much of a difference can a piece of fruit make? 🍎🍊🍌

What started with just 10 schools in 2014 has grown into a program reaching 125 schools across Perth metropolitan area, helping thousands of students access fresh, healthy fruit every week.

Through our School Fruit Van Program, participating schools receive around 10kgs of fresh, seasonal fruit each week, helping students stay nourished, focused and ready to learn. For many schools, it's a simple but powerful way to ensure children have access to healthy food throughout the school day.

This impact is only possible thanks to the support of Perth Airport, the Stan Perron Charitable Foundation and Newton Orchards of Manjimup & Manjimup Cider Co. Together, they're helping us deliver fresh fruit to schools across the metropolitan area while supporting local growers and creating healthier futures for children. 💜

THE POSITION:

We seek a motivated and detail-oriented QSO to join our Manjimup Packhouse team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to build or expand a career in food safety, quality assurance and compliance in a business with ongoing pathway and growth opportunities.

Working alongside our Quality Control Team and reporting to our Packhouse Managers, you will play a key role in learning and supporting food safety, quality and compliance programmes while helping drive a positive food safety culture across the Packhouse.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Highly flexible, this position is ideal for someone with good people skills, enjoys problem solving and improving systems. We will develop you gradually and steadily to be involved in a range of quality and compliance activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supporting food safety and quality management systems.
• Maintaining compliance records and documentation.
• Assisting daily hygiene, food safety, GMP and compliance activities.
• Supporting audit preparation and customer compliance documentation requirements.
• Assisting investigations, corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Supporting food safety training and awareness programs.
• Working with operational teams to promote best practice quality standards.
• Supporting the use and development of existing digital compliance systems.

ABOUT YOU:

We are looking for someone who is:

• Organised with excellent attention to detail.
• A strong "people’s person" communicator who can build positive working relationships.
• Curious, proactive and willing to learn.
• Practical, solutions-focused and process driven.
• Both autonomous and a team player.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Preferred but not essential:

• Experience in food safety, quality assurance or compliance environments.
• Understanding of GMP, HACCP, food safety or quality systems.
• Experience maintaining records and documentation.
• Strong administration and computer skills.
• Experience with audits, compliance systems or quality programmes.
