Following the first frost of the season at Mount Macedon, the Bolobek garden is mid-autumn and moving fast. After an exceptional finish to 2025 in terms of rainfall and one of the earliest seasonal breaks on record, the trees and shrubs are colouring hard and the leaves are down. The garden looks completely different to this time last year.
The 2025 Bolobek Garden Fair drew around 3,600 visitors, volunteers and stallholders and raised $41,000 for environmental and horticultural projects across the Macedon Ranges. This year's recipients included the Macedon & Mount Macedon Community House, Macedon and Mount Macedon Landcare, Kyneton Botanic Gardens, SES Gisborne Unit and Mount Macedon & District Horticultural Society.
The Landcare Group put their allocation toward a new trailer, the Community House is extending their garden, and the Kyneton Botanic Gardens will use the funds for a plant labelling project. Rotary, Tylden Primary School and the local CWA also raised funds through their involvement on the day.
The 2026 Garden Fair is confirmed for 3rd & 4th October at Bolobek, 370 Mt Macedon Road, Macedon. Stallholder offers have had a strong first-round response and further announcements will follow in coming months.
