The weather might not have been our friend, but the spirit of the biker community certainly was! Despite the clouds, we were absolutely thrilled to see over 850 incredible bikes and welcome more than 1000 people to our event.
A massive thank you to every single person who rode in, every visitor who came through the gate, and all the motorbike clubs who showed their unwavering support. You are the reason this event is so special.
This show is the major fundraiser for the Battunga Lions Club, and because of your generosity, every single dollar raised goes directly back to our local charities and community support activities. You have made a real difference!
Also, a huge congratulations to our Show and Shine winners! ๐
A special shout-out to David Dunk for taking home Best British with his fantastic Scott!
Vaughan Edwards impressed to win the Best Japanese with his Honda CX500.
Winning the Best German was William Csorba with his BMW R25 .
The Best Italian went to Steve Williams Ducati.
Showing the flag for the US was Wayne Dunkley with his all black Indian.
Gliding to a win in the Best Other category was Rod Wall with his Honda Goldwing powered speedway combination.
The Honda Goldwing celebrates 50 years this year, so the Honda Goldwing Club SA featured with a spectacular display of massive bikes and added their name to the perpetual shield as Best Club Display.
Many thanks to the great clubs and organisations that helped make this event possible including Mount Barker Council, Battunga Lions Club, Williams Syndrome, Maccy Mens Shed, Macclesfield CFS, Macclesfield Cricket Club and the excellent bands that kept the crowds entertained throughout the day.
And lastly we have to applaud the wonderful work of Fred Keal, the creator and primary organisor of this special event.
Thank you for helping us make the day a roaring success. We can't wait to see you next year!
