Inspired by night markets from around the world, the renamed ‘Launceston Night Market’ will look to transform Civic Square this Spring/Summer. Bringing together creative people from Launceston’s food, music and beverage sectors our market will celebrate our community and showcase many wonderful local producers. As locals, we appreciate that during the summer months, we are looking for outdoor events to enjoy the weather. Not to mention the opportunity to enjoy a glass of your favorite local cider or wine with something delicious to eat on a Friday night. The French refer to it as an “apero” (after work drink) with friends, family and colleagues. At our night market the emphasis is more on "night" than “market”. Listen to some great music, grab a bite to eat with your friends and family. It’s the place where you appreciate where you live and you feel part of a wonderful community.
