After a jam-packed weekend of in conversations, workshops, panels, an unforgettable performance with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra and a sold out day at Clarendon Estate, the curtain has officially fallen on the 2026 Australian Musical Theatre Festival.

JUST ANNOUNCED!

Nancye Hayes AM returns to the Australian Musical Theatre Festival in 2027 to celebrate 60 years since her groundbreaking performance as Charity Hope Valentine in the 1967 production of Sweet Charity.

Uniting emerging artists alongside some of the country's most established names, Sweet Charity promises to be an unforgettable evening celebrating Australia's vibrant musical theatre scene.

Day Three of the 2026 Australian Musical Theatre Festival was absolutely jam-packed.

The Frogs, one of our most ambitious projects yet, saw one of the silliest and splashiest musicals of all time take over the Albert Hall Launceston in a processional style performance.

Meanwhile, earlier in the day the Launceston Town Hall came to life in our Foyer Door Concert before Lorinda May Merrypor shared laughs, secrets and more during her In Conversation at the Hotel Grand Chancellor Launceston.
