VENDOR ANNOUNCEMENT #18 - The Flavours of India 🇮🇳🌶️

The story of Arish & Priya began back in 2001 when Arish, originally from India, met Priya, an Aussie girl. Different backgrounds, but a shared love of food soon brought them even closer.

For Arish, his love of Indian food started as a young boy, learning traditional home-style cooking from his mum. As he grew up, he travelled throughout India, learning from different families, aunties and friends — discovering the incredible diversity of flavours, ingredients and cooking styles along the way.

Fast forward 22 years, and Arish & Priya are still serving those flavours from their food van!

They've become a much-loved part of the Cairns food scene, catering almost every gig at Tanks Arts Centre for the past 20 years, as well as festivals, markets, breweries, schools, universities and private events.

For Arish & Priya, it's about so much more than running a food business. It's about sharing the authentic flavours of Indian home cooking with the local community and bringing people together over good food.
