VR Casts We aim at 'bringin you the best, of the rest', wagons that are yet to be pro How it all started.. And was even asked to make other wagons.

For those who haven't heard of us yet we, VR Casts, specialise in manufacturing Victorian Railways HO scale kits and accessories from the late 1880's right through to the 1960's. Originally David started off scratch building early VR wagons that weren't available in the commercial market, for his own use and to show fellow modellers at his local club.He sold a few on ebay as RTR and to his surpris

e they were popular! He took up the challenge to test himself more than anything. So one thing lead to another and VR Casts was created in May 2010.

Thanks to everyone we caught up with on Saturday @ Diamond creek thanks to Lyndons trains for allowing us being on his stand for the day. It was good to see people after a long 2 years. Sorry we could only be there the one day. Next show we will be at will be Stawall expo - See you there

Portland Police advise that a grain train has derailed and is currently blocking the level crossing at Julia Street & Anderson Street, Portland.

There is currently no risk to the public however it will be several hours until the road is re-opened to vehicle traffic.

Please avoid the area until cleared and plan an alternate route.

Daves been putting some time into the 1:48 O Scale W Class! Tweeking parts as he goes. Now he have Two 3d resin printers makes the tweeking a lot easier as we aren’t having to wait for prints coming from overseas it just takes 14 hours of each component..

Who is ready for Victoria's Smallest Train Show?
It's on this weekend, March 27th & 28th and our traders are Road & Rail Hobbies and Linda's Cottage Country, they will have general hobby supplies, paints and effects products, brushes, glues, static grasses, boxes of Sedum, plaster bandage, balsa, some hobby tools and cutting mats and other hobby lines. Lind's Cottage Country shop located in Stawell will be open on Saturday from 9am to 1pm.

We have 6 layouts from small to large layouts, On30 dioramas and Victorian railways memorabilia in display.

We will also have a Victorian Railways tractor and other vintage tractor on display outside.

Saturday 10am-5pm and Sunday 10am - 4pm
Stawell Railway Goods Shed, 15 Wakeham St, Stawell
Adults $5, Children under 16 free.

There has been a fair bit of interest in the 1:48 6ton yard cranes which is great. We are currently putting kits together as we speak they take around 14hrs each to produce. The kit includes 25 printed parts plus brass wire, blackened metal chain and fishing line. These kits will be available for $80 and will go live on the website but welcome to contact us direct too.
