Thousands of people from throughout Tasmania and even interstate have come to know and love A Day on the Beach, held on 26 January every year from 2007-2020. But after two years of cancellations due to the COVID pandemic, the organising committee have considered how we can deliver a low-cost day of family fun for fans of A Day on the Beach while engaging a new audience. Our new event, A Day at the
Park will be held on Eight Hours Day, Monday 13 March 2023 at Kingston Park. It will feature activities, entertainment and stalls at the Kingborough Community Hub, on the grass areas surrounding it, and in the amphitheatre. While exciting new activities are yet to be announced, we can guarantee that a few crowd favourites from A Day on the Beach will feature, including the photobooth, big Aussie barbecue, kids alley, the Royal Australian Navy Band and dance/music performances from local community groups celebrating Australia’s cultural diversity.
