The Australian Longboard Surfing Open (ALSO) is the premier international longboard surfing and festival event in New South Wales with it home being Kingscliff Beach that is located on the far North Coast of NSW. ALSO represents a unique five day differentiated surfing festival model with no near equivalents.

Our Story

The Australian Longboard Surfing Open is a celebration of the surfing lifestyle which attracts current and former professional longboard surfing stars such as cu rrent and former World Champions Taylor Jensen, Chloe Calmon, Rachael Tilly, Harley Ingleby, plus many more striving to be future World Champions. Together they share the surf and beach with other competitive surfers both professional and amateur alongside their families and friends. The Australian Longboard Surfing Open is located in Kingscliff village in the northern tip of NSW, on the doorstep of the Asia Pacific region and only 10 minutes from Gold Coast Airport. The event will honour the history of longboard surfing culture with live music, surf vehicle displays, surf films at our outdoor cinema, yoga, art, food, fun, lifestyle stalls and more. Interested?
