From a small local school party attended by the local community to an iconic event welcoming nearly 10,000 visitors at the last edition, the French Market is now recognised as the French cultural celebration bringing people together from all over Sydney and beyond. Bite into the best baguettes, taste some stinky cheese and savour some traditional French cakes for an unmissable food experience. Wit

h live music, kids entertainment and a large choice of stalls, our visitors experience a unique French atmosphere: French food to eat in or take away, French homewares, French Jewellery, French clothes, French live music... Do your Christmas shopping in style at the FANS' French Market on Sunday 17 November 2024! Established in 1998, FANS is a not-for-profit organisation, managed by a team of individuals passionate about bilingualism, French language and francophone culture. Our purpose is to connect People & Cultures. We do this by bringing multicultural families together around a unique bilingual learning experience. The main activity of the association is to operate the bilingual program at Killarney Heights Public School (KHPS). FANS also offers an extracurricular extension French program for high school students and organises a series of cultural events and activities for a dynamic cultural community.

Un grand merci pour ce beau message qui reflète parfaitement l’esprit de notre marché !

Chaque année, c’est un vrai bonheur de rassembler la communauté française et francophone du North Shore, ainsi que nos amis australiens, autour de ce moment convivial et festif à Killarney Heights.

Nous sommes fiers du dynamisme et de la solidarité qui s’expriment à travers cet événement, rendu possible grâce à l’engagement exceptionnel de 300 bénévoles passionnés et de l'équipe de FANS - French speaking Association of the North Shore.

Merci également à nos partenaires et soutiens, qui nous accompagnent fidèlement dans cette aventure.

Kaija Jean is a talented 14-year-old performer with a deep love for the French language, music, and stage. Having grown up in Europe, she developed a strong connection to French culture and chanson.

Recently recognized in the Alliance Française Chanteuse competition, Kaija continues to share her passion for French music through captivating performances. When she’s not singing, you’ll often find her dancing or starring in musical theatre productions!
