Kilcoy ShowGirl & Rural Ambassador Awards - 2026
Nominations must be in no later than 1st July 2026.
This year we have three Catagories
Junior Showgirl 14- 17 yrs
Senior Showgirl 18- 28 yrs
Rural Ambassador 20- 30 yrs
* The Qld. Agricultural Show Junior Showgirl Awards are Youth leadership programs run at local & regional agricultural shows across Qld, designed to foster
confidence, public speaking and a strong understanding of agricultural communities and local show movements for girls aged 14-17 yrs.
The awards aim is to develop young female leaders, promote the agricultural show movement and celebrate young women in rural communities.
* Rural Ambassador-
Male or Females
Aged 20 - 30yrs
Single or Married.
The Rural Ambassador program is a premier leadership competition run by Agricultural Shows.
It celebrates and develops future leaders aged between 20- 30yrs who have a strong passion for agricultural, rural communities and the Agricultural Show Movement.
* Showgirl Awards
Females
Aged 18- 28 yrs
It is not a beauty pageant, but an ambassador program that builds leadership, public speaking and professional development.
The Qld Country Life Showgirl award program is open to young woman of 18- 28 yrs of age who have a close affiliation with a Queensland Agricultural Show.
There are no other restrictions of entry to these awards.
The Showgirl awards is an excellent opportunity for young women to become more involved in their local agricultural show and community.
Millie Retschlag is our current Miss Kilcoy Showgirl 2025. Millie also became runner up winner at the Regional Near North Coast Subchamber finals..
Hannah Retschlag is our 2025 Kilcoy Rural Ambassador.
At the Regional Near North Coast subchamer finals in November 2025 - Hannah successfully took on the role of the Near North Coast Regional winner of the Rural Ambassador Awards.
Hannah will now represent at Chamber lever at the Brisbane Royal Show in August.

Once nominations are in - meetings and information sessions will commence between the Showgirl Coordinator and the entrants.
Interviews and Judging will be done at the Kilcoy Showgrounds on Friday 24th July.2026
The entrants will be presented at the opening of the 2026 Kilcoy Show at 10am on Saturday 25th July.
Winners of each category will also be announced at that time.
