Today, one of our Sunflower Spheres was unveiled at its new home at Boonah Hospital, marking a very special moment for everyone who has been part of bringing the beautiful ๐ฆ๐๐ป๐ณ๐น๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ผ๐ฝ๐ฒ initiative to life. ๐ป๐
Our second sphere will be relocated to the Mater at Springfield next month.
What started as an idea from local artist Wendy Badke has grown into something truly special โ a beautiful Sunflower Sphere that will become a lasting symbol of love, remembrance and community at Boonah Hospital.
๐ป ๐ ๐ฌ๐๐ฃ๐ฉ ๐ฉ๐ค ๐จ๐๐ฎ ๐ ๐๐๐๐ง๐ฉ๐๐๐ก๐ฉ ๐ฉ๐๐๐ฃ๐ ๐ฎ๐ค๐ช ๐ฉ๐ค ๐๐ซ๐๐ง๐ฎ๐ค๐ฃ๐ ๐ฌ๐๐ค ๐๐๐ก๐ฅ๐๐ ๐๐ง๐๐ฃ๐ ๐ฉ๐๐ ๐๐ช๐ฃ๐๐ก๐ค๐ฌ๐๐ง ๐๐ฅ๐๐๐ง๐๐จ ๐ฉ๐ค ๐ก๐๐๐.
The Boonah Sunflower Sphere features 210 sunflowers and every sunflower purchased has funded upgrades to the hospital gardens at Boonah Hospital, enhancing the outdoor spaces for patients, staff and visitors and we are well on our way with 103 Sunflowers already sold.
Thank you to every person who purchased a sunflower and shared with me the beautiful stories of the special people they were remembering and honouring. It has been incredibly touching to hear your stories and know that each sunflower carries its own special meaning.
