On Wednesday afternoon at the May Council meeting, Council endorsed $301,250 through the Events Funding and Support Program, supporting 46 events across the region.
These events are expected to generate more than $26 million in economic activity, driven by visitors, local spending and increased activity across our businesses.
From hallmark events like the Hattah Desert Race and Mildura 100 Ski Race, to major events such as the Mildura Fringe Festival and a strong line-up of motorsports, through to community favourites like Mildura Field Days, the Australian Alternative Varieties Wine Show, and Patchy Music Festival ... the range of events is impressive.
But even more impressive is what sits behind them - the people. Behind every event is a group of locals putting in the time: volunteers, clubs and organisers who do their bit to bring something to life for the community.

Mildura Fringe Festival was dreamed up by jackbuckleypeterson, and through months of determination and hard work, the first year of the festival was born in 2025.

This small team of two is working all year long to bring you the 2026 season of Mildura Fringe and an incredible, affordable event with entertainment for people of all ages

Making an event the town is proud of is important to us !
