Park your car around the corner and come for a walk down the street. We are a cul-de-sac of neighbours who love to put smiles on people's faces at Christmas time. Last year we had 8 houses in a row with lights up, plus a few more dotted up the street - I wonder how many will join in this year? Come by and have a look - BUT REMEMBER TO DRIVE SLOWLY - there will be kids out and about.

Last night we enjoyed the benefits of no longer having a nightly labour and consumables display. We loaded up the car and spent hours visiting other displays instead! While we appreciate everyone who puts up lights at this time of year, there were some standouts on our route. If you are on the north side of Ipswich, make sure you check out 17 Simmons Road, North Ipswich Christmas Lights, Pommer St Brassall and Pringle Place Christmas Lights at Pine Mountain. They were all AMAZING walk-through displays and the owners should be so proud of the magic they have created! Then it was over to the Yamanto estates for more sightseeing. We particularly liked Sandalwood Dr and Diosma Close. We've heard Yew St is also amazing but he was already off for the night by the time we came by (so make sure you get there before 9pm at least, possibly even earlier). So much money has been spent on these displays for your enjoyment, and it was great to see *most* people respecting them by keeping their hands to themselves.

Christmas is almost upon us, and Christmas night will be the last night that lights are turned on for the year.

Flinders View is shining brightly this season! We were awarded runners-up in the best street category tonight and Pearwood St were runners up for the best new entrant, but there are plenty of beautiful lights to check out around us. I've done up a bit of a route that takes you past some great displays, but I'm sure there are plenty more in the area!

I tried to loop together Jacana Cres, Blessington Way, Pearwood St, Hillier Court, Inverness St, Cowley Drive, Discovery St, Nova Court and Reif St.

Hillier Court, Flinders have 4 houses so far. More will possibly come on board once it's December, so watch this space. It looks like it will be a busy season based on the number of visitors we've already had on our first night 🎄

If all goes well with the storms this week, #23 and #21 hope to light up from Saturday night while #17 has been on for ages. It's a smaller display than we are all used to, but hopefully you will still enjoy it.
