We were joined by Wolfgang and his wife from Donaupark parkrun, Vienna, Austria today.
He shares his experience with us below:
7 a.m. is really early for parkrun, if you are used to parkrun in Europe, where the start is mainly at 9 a.m .....
Nevertheless my wife and myself were at the starting point in time after a walk of 30 minutes.
After the first Timer Briefing and the General Briefing the run was started.
The course is 2 rounds and fully sunny.
But we were lucky, the sun was still sleeping and thus the temperature was moderate.
But if you think, it was easy to run, you are wrong. The Limestone Park is very hilly and you need to start very carefully in order to manage also the second round without stopping.
Today Pacers made their job to lead others to their desired time, which helps a lot.
It was also very impressive for me, that many young runners were on the course and enjoyed running with laughing faces.
Very friendly volunteers made this parkrun possible and a great experience.
Thanks to all who contributed today at Ipswich parkrun and if you come to Vienna, I would be glad to welcome you.
