Huon Valley Chess Club is moving to a new location. Starting right away, we'll be meeting 6-9PM, every Wednesday at Huon Valley Trade Training Centre, 101 Wilmot Rd, Huonville.

Announcing the Huon Valley Chess Festival for 2026. It will be on Nov 5-8, 2026. Please mark your calendars for this years event.

The schedule is subject to change. But very likely:
Nov 5, 6: Classical Event
Nov 6 evening: Lightning Event
Nov 7: Bendigo Bank Junior Cup
Nov 7, 8: Main Event, Weekend Rapid Tournament

Now is the time for players to hone their chess skills, sponsors to consider sponsorship opportunities, volunteers to put their hands up. This year the event aims to deliver the broadest range of chess activities for all players and to continue the growth of chess in the Huon Valley.

The Huon Valley Chess Club meets at 6pm every Wednesday at 40 Marguerite St, Ranelagh TAS 7109. Players of all ages and standards are welcome. On the first Wednesday of the month, every month we have a little tournament.
