150km Feast

150km Feast A series of food & wine events showcasing ingredients grown and produced within 150km of Horsham. This year's main event SOLD OUT within 30 hours.

With its wide-open spaces, small nooks and laneways, the historical precinct nestled in the heart of Horsham on the banks of the Wimmera River known as Maydale Reserve, is the setting for the annual 150km Feast. Come together with the event organisers, the Horsham Agricultural Society, to celebrate our farmers, winemakers, growers, producers and small businesses who provide us with all our needs in rural Victoria. Join in the discovery of our best kept secret and the jewel in Horsham’s crown at Maydale Reserve to experience the festive vibe this feast brings. A harvest festival like no other, celebrating good food, good wine and good people, the 150km Feast main event returns on February 24th, 2024 to showcase the food producers at an outdoor dinner. Guests will indulge in some of the Wimmera & Grampians finest seasonal produce with a selection of ingredients sourced from within 150km of Horsham. We've had four fabulous feasts since it was established in 2021 with two in our back paddock in the first year followed by one in the Stockmens Beer Garden with both scenes overlooking the Wimmera River, under a canopy of stars with our timber topped tables and subtle light bathing the river gums. In 2023 we enjoyed indoor dining in The Cattle Shed, after the rain persuaded us to take cover last minute! The vibe our next event promises will have everyone immersed in good conversation while consuming ice cold brewed beer for a hot summer’s night, wine from grapes grown in the region and spirits direct from a boutique distillery and appreciating the variety of entertainment provided on tap. BUT THAT'S NOT ALL....if you miss tickets for the main dinner, don’t be disappointed! Food and wine lovers are invited to the ‘after party’, the 150km Feast Food Truck & Wine Festival which includes a makers and growers market on Sunday, 25th February from 12 noon with food trucks open til 7pm. Tickets for this event which includes live music in the precinct, are available through the 150km Feast website.

150km Feast Goes On the Road 🚘

On Friday night, accompanied by our dessert queen Rupanyup Living Produce Co. we had the privilege of experiencing First Nations Flavour, Fire & Fermentation at The Gordon in Geelong, thanks to the wonderful team from Food, Wine, Distillery & Farm Tours| Tasting, Team & Connections 🤗

This wasn’t just a dinner! It was an immersive celebration of First Nations culture, regional produce, fire cooking and storytelling.

From kombucha to smoky cocktails and local wine to live fire cooking to roasted yabbies, scallops, wallaby, duck, paperbark-wrapped fish, wattle seed tiramisu and lemon gum tart, every course celebrated native ingredients and the people behind them.

A highlight was watching the talented chefs from Australia’s first Indigenous culinary school, Kitjarra Wurrun-Ngeen, bring each dish to life with such passion and pride.

Hosted beautifully by the effervescent June O’Brien, the evening reminded us that the best food experiences aren’t just about what’s on the plate, they’re about the stories, the people and the connections made around the table.

We came away inspired, with plenty of ideas to bring home to the 150km Feast 2027. Thank you to everyone who shared their knowledge, hospitality, passion and friendship. It was a truly memorable evening.

150KM FEAST 🍷 🍽️

This time last week, our tables were set for Dinner in The Stables by an incredible team of community volunteers. After heavy rain the night before left the area underwater, they jumped in without hesitation to help get everything ready for our guests. Looking back now, it’s hard to believe the space was flooded just hours earlier AND became inundated again after dessert! 🌧️

The 2026 story of our food, wine & flood adventure begins.
