150km Feast Goes On the Road 🚘
On Friday night, accompanied by our dessert queen Rupanyup Living Produce Co. we had the privilege of experiencing First Nations Flavour, Fire & Fermentation at The Gordon in Geelong, thanks to the wonderful team from Food, Wine, Distillery & Farm Tours| Tasting, Team & Connections 🤗
This wasn’t just a dinner! It was an immersive celebration of First Nations culture, regional produce, fire cooking and storytelling.
From kombucha to smoky cocktails and local wine to live fire cooking to roasted yabbies, scallops, wallaby, duck, paperbark-wrapped fish, wattle seed tiramisu and lemon gum tart, every course celebrated native ingredients and the people behind them.
A highlight was watching the talented chefs from Australia’s first Indigenous culinary school, Kitjarra Wurrun-Ngeen, bring each dish to life with such passion and pride.
Hosted beautifully by the effervescent June O’Brien, the evening reminded us that the best food experiences aren’t just about what’s on the plate, they’re about the stories, the people and the connections made around the table.
We came away inspired, with plenty of ideas to bring home to the 150km Feast 2027. Thank you to everyone who shared their knowledge, hospitality, passion and friendship. It was a truly memorable evening.
