💚⚫ HOBART CUP 2025 – THANK YOU BY THE NUMBERS ⚫💚
What an incredible weekend of football! The Hobart Cup once again brought our community together on a massive scale, here’s just how big it really was:
⚽ 787 games played across three days – more football in one weekend than the entire English Premier League season, and in fact the equivalent of two EPL seasons back-to-back!
👟 307 teams representing every corner of Tasmania with more than 4,000 players pulling on their boots.
👥 An estimated 15,000–20,000 supporters through our venues – families, coaches, referees, volunteers, and friends of the game.
🏟 Over 40 fields in use simultaneously, turning Hobart into the football capital of Australia for the weekend.
⏱ A combined 23,610 minutes of football were played, that’s 393 hours on the pitch, or over 16 days of football if you tried to watch it all in a row.
📸 Thousands of photos captured by families, clubs, and our wonderful media – memories that will last a lifetime.
🔢 Our rough estimates: 100,000 passes, 50,000 tackles, and 10,000 goals across the weekend.
🙌 None of this happens without people: a core of 10 staff, supported by countless volunteers, who put in hundreds of hours of planning to make sure the Cup runs smoothly.
🍔 Beyond the football, the Cup brought huge community impact – buzzing canteens, local cafés and shops, hotels, and transport full of football families.
