Bella wanted to be more present in her , getting out of her head and focussing less on times ⏰

🙌She managed to do both. 🥇At just 17, Bella finished the 2026 Mountain Run 25km as the overall winner of the U23 category (both females and males). And she was the 11th female across the line 👏 What a performance and what a future she has ahead of her in trail running!

🍃But we’re also stoked to hear and see that Bella was able to take time out to be present and take in the beauty of where she was.

KMR 2026 was Conor’s mid-life crisis. Forget the fancy sports car or a younger husband. All she wanted was sore knees and snacks! 😆

🫶But it was also always about her kids. She wanted them to see that life’s for living, dreams are worth chasing, trying new things matters and it’s always okay to ask for help.

🙌We reckon she’s done that and so much more. As part of our 2026 Scholarship Team, Conor has inspired us all. She’s motivated us all to try a little harder and laugh a little more.

Sarah was like a kid on Christmas Eve before KMR this year! 🎄

Part of our KMR 2026 Scholarship Team, Sarah ran the Mountain Run 25km 🙌

🫶She had an incredible day, and her family was with her, every step of the way. She had written “4-4-4” on her arm for her dad, who died last year and her mum drew a ♥️.

The self growth and confidence she’s gained over the 5 months of the Scholarship has been huge. We’re so stoked to see where you’ve come from, and where you’ll go, Sarah! 🙌

🙌Dave was always set on doing , our Ultra Solo 66km. He’d done it before and it wasn’t pretty.

We chose Kunanyi for our inaugural Trail Run Event Guide 2026 spotlight because our trail crew cannot stop raving about it. It's got it all - the majestic Tassie beauty, rugged (and challenging) alpine ridgelines, forest trails and summit views that go on forever, and a community vibe pulling you back every year. There's an event to suit everyone and it's centrally located in Hobart.

A good run deserves a good apple 🍎

It was great to be back supporting the Kunanyi Mountain Run again this year with our new season Royal Gala.

Nothing better than seeing the kids enjoying an apple after a big run.

Wow. That was big.

🫶A weekend that felt electric from the start. Built on community, culture, and our connection on Kunanyi.

5 Years. 1 Mountain. Thousands of Stories.

Now our team is going to pause. Step back. Let it all sink in.

🐰We’re taking a breath over Easter. Grateful for every runner, volunteer, partner, and story that made what it was. Truly epic 🙏🙏🙏

🫶Community is at the heart of what we do at . It is too for the team at , our sister event in WA, who also put on on epic event (it’s on August 22 this year).

That’s why we both love gifting Solo and Team entries. Not just to each other’s winners but also to those who have demonstrated what Community really means.

People like Jane Berriman, from the Ultra Relay team, Cos We Can, who lives and breathes KMR and our wonderful Tassie trail running community.
