Drift into a day of colour, wind and wide-open skies as the Harden Kite Festival returns on Saturday 10 October 2026. It's a fun, it's family-friendly and it's a breezy a 1.5 hour drive from Visit Canberra.

This much-loved spring festival is all about simple joys. Watching huge kites dance above the horizon, sharing easy moments with family and friends, and taking a breath as the kids play with free activities and sprint to their heart's content. 🎏

🪁The Harden Kite Festival 2025 was an absolute blast! 🪁

What a picture perfect day we had for our 20th Anniversary Year! With blue skies, perfect winds and a huge crowd filling the racecourse, it couldn’t have been a better day to let those kites soar. 🌤️✨

A massive thank you to everyone who came along and made it such a fun, colourful and joy-filled event. You all brought the magic to the skies and we were so happy to see you there💛

We’d also like to give a big shoutout to our incredible sponsors, volunteers and community partners for helping make the day possible. It's your support that keeps this festival flying high year after year. Thankyou 🙌
