With deep sadness, we share the passing of NEIL ROSENFELD on Friday 15 May, aged 88 years.
Neil was the heart and driving force behind Granada Dance Centre, which he founded alongside Jenny Rosenfeld in 1970. What began as a small studio in Malvern grew into one of Australia’s most respected dance schools, influencing generations of dancers and teachers across the country.
Known for his incredible knowledge, passion for dancing, and unforgettable personality, Neil dedicated his life to teaching and inspiring others. So many students walked through Granada’s doors over the years and left not only as better dancers, but with lifelong memories, friendships, and lessons that extended far beyond the dance floor.
His contribution to the Australian dance industry was extraordinary, but to all of us at Granada, he will simply be remembered as the man who created a place that so many people were proud to call home.
Our thoughts and love are with Jenny, Adam, Kellie, and the entire Rosenfeld family at this time.
Thank you, Neil, for everything you gave to Granada and to the dancing community. Your legacy will continue through every generation that follows.
