ONLY FOUR MONTHS TO GO … YEP, THAT’S RIGHT, ONLY FOUR MONTHS UNTIL GYMPIE’S BIGGEST FREE COMMUNITY FESTIVAL!

The Gympie Gold Rush Festival Organising Committee will hold its next monthly general meeting on Thursday, 25 June @ 5.30pm @ Gympie RSL, Level 2.

The June general meeting will provide updates about our three huge events in October, plus our 'Go for Gold' event on 18-19 July.

All organisations, businesses, and individuals are welcome to attend. We are still seeking sponsors, parade participants, and volunteers for the street parade and community concert to join our amazing team. Come along to see what all the fuss is about!

Celebrate National Volunteer Week (18-24 May 2026) by striking GOLD in our community! It's 'Your Year to Volunteer'.

The Gympie Gold Rush Festival organising committee is calling for passionate volunteers to help bring this popular event back to the community where it belongs. Whether you’re keen to lend a hand with planning our core events (2-17 October), or be part of the excitement at the community parade along Mary Street, or support the community concert in Nelson Reserve, there’s a place for you on our team. Get involved, meet new people, and help create unforgettable moments for Gympie, your time will truly make a difference.

One of the highlights of the Festival will be the street parade, consisting of a wide range of our communities across the Gympie region. From multi-cultural groups to schools, clubs and sporting teams, local businesses and organisations, our emergency services, to the Australian Defence Force, car clubs and anyone who wants to join in, the street parade will be a celebration of Gympie’s best! Our branch staff and directors have all been heavily involved in Gold Rush for many years, in fact as long as we’ve been around, we’ve had some connection to the parade and after parties or concerts 🫶
