Guyra Anglers are hoping for a great day for the DPI Gone Fishing Day 🦈- proudly supported by Squadron Energy. Guyra Anglers Club has also coupled with OzFish Unlimited (Northern Tablelands Chapter), to have a cracking day this Sunday October 5.
Starting at 8 am, finishing at 2pm sharp, the ‘Boost-a-Bass, Redfin Roundup’ event - with prizes up for grabs in the following categories:
SENIORS- most Redfin caught on a boat
OPEN - most Redfin caught off the bank
SUB JUNIOR (up to 12) & JUNIOR (12-18) - biggest Redfin, biggest Trout, & biggest Bass.
At 10am there will be a kids fishing clinic with the sharing of fishcare, seasons, & knots.
Presentation of prizes will occur at 3pm at Malpas Dam.

On the day there will be our famous BBQ lunch - $5 steak or sausage sandwich and can of drink/water. All monies go to OzFish for Better Habitat|Better Fishing.

Congratulations to all our art and metal craft winners presented at the Official Opening of TroutFest last night. Pen Shephard from Kootingal, Mary Quinn from Armidale, Louise Pearson and Sapphire Roller from Guyra and Black Mountain and Jenny Rogers in the Photography.🌟
Metal craft winners were Graham Ramage and David Troost.

Guyra TroutFest Art Expo has hosted the Festival’s opening night tonight. It has been a great event attended by artists, TroutFest committee members, GuyrARTist group members, Guyra Craft group members and the community. The Art Expo will continue to be open across the weekend showcasing local and regional artists.

Local Guyra Craft Group is at the Art expo, Lamb & Potato Pavilion from Friday - Sunday 10am - 4pm with lots and lots of hand made goodies. They are also holding a market stall at the TroutFest Markets on Saturday in Bradley St.
