More Minced Pies, Mulled Wine and Musical Mayhem at the Prince of Wales Opera House. Gulgong Gossip caught up with Gulgong Musical and Dramatic Society to find out more about their upcoming Christmas Production this December.
“We’ve been b***y recruiting for this Christmas Variety show which features a host of local faces, both young and old, some of them stepping out on stage for the very first time! Others will be familiar, the usual suspects “ said long standing member Kathryn Maloney who is co-producing the show along with another MADS stalwart Kali Newcomb
"With today’s hectic lives and super busy schedules, it’s getting harder and harder to find people who have enough time to commit to putting on a quality full length theatrical production" said Co-Producer Kali Newcomb. "So instead we devised a format whereby lots of people could be involved, everyone keen to take part would have a chance to shine and we could bring something to the stage that would put a smile on the faces in our local community."
The Prince Of Wales Opera House is the oldest continually operating theatre in the Southern Hemisphere. It was built in 1871 by John Hart Cogden. This classic building is now owned by the Gulgong Amateur Musical and Dramatical Society and entirely operated by volunteers.
All proceeds from the show go directly back to the theater, helping maintain and run this beautiful building for generations to come.
Tickets are available at the door, online at www.princeofwalesoperahouse.com.au or over the counter at The Gulgong Post Office
