Mark your diaries for this year's Henry Lawson Festival weekend 8th - 10th June and step back in time to the gold rush days in Gulgong. There will be, children playing in the streets such old time games such as jacks, hopscotch etc., also pavement art, many market stalls, the parade through the streets, cutting of Henry's birthday cake, bush dancing, poetry and short story readings and the literar

☕ Poets’ Morning Tea – A Celebration of Words, Friendship and Tradition 🎂

Join us for a delightful Monday morning of bush poetry hosted by MC Hanna May. Whether you'd like to share a favourite poem, recite your own, or simply sit back and enjoy the performances, everyone is welcome.

Enjoy complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits while celebrating the enduring legacy of Henry Lawson in the company of fellow poetry lovers. Walk-up poets are encouraged, so don't be shy!

A special highlight of the morning will be the cutting of our magnificent 50th Anniversary cake, created by local baker John Woods. And who better to do the honours than Henry Lawson himself, who will be joining us to celebrate his birthday!

Come along, relax, connect with friends old and new, and be part of one of the festival's most cherished traditions.
