Welcome to the Cape Palmerston Holiday Park Camp Oven Cook Off! 🍳🔥

Join us this Easter Saturday (19th April 2025) for a day of delicious food, fun, and community at Cape Palmerston! What started as a small gathering of 3 camp oven enthusiasts has now grown into an exciting annual event with over 15 teams per category. Now in our 7th year, we’re thrilled to offer a prize pool of over $4,500—and it’s still growing! 🏆

This year, for the first time, we’ll have exclusive event merchandise available. 🎉 Our competition features 3 categories: Damper, Mains, and Dessert, judged live by an expert panel. Come for the culinary action, stay for the live music, coffee, food vans, and mini markets. 🎶☕🍔

We kindly ask everyone to please be patient with our amazing volunteers and organisers 💛

Our small team works tirelessly in the months leading up to this event — all while juggling work, health challenges, kids’ sport, school commitments, and everyday life. This event is all about bringing the community together and enjoying some good old-fashioned fun. The prizes are simply a bonus that our team puts a lot of time and effort into organising.

For spectators, you are more than welcome to watch the judging, however we ask that you please do not interrupt the judges during taste testing and scoring.

👀 Viewing is welcome from outside the judging gazebo – thank you for helping us keep the process fair and enjoyable for all competitors!
