The Horse Section was welcomed with an outstanding number of entries for the 2026 Grafton Show. We were thrilled to see a strong Horse Section this year, with over 150 horses on the grounds across all rings, creating a full and vibrant atmosphere. The addition of the Pony Club events proved especially popular and was well supported by our local clubs.
We were fortunate to have the backing of some wonderful sponsors again this year.
A huge thank you to Robins Accountants, our major Ring Sponsor, and to Equine Vet Dental Services for their generous support of the Stock Horse Ring.
We were delighted to welcome Sunshine Sugar back as sponsors of Ring 2 on Saturday for the junior events — the riders certainly enjoyed the treats.

And thank you to our other sponsors who generously support the show each year — your ongoing commitment is truly appreciated.
We were privileged to host a strong panel of judges across all rings, including Len and Shae Partridge in Rings 1 and 2, Ellen Light in the Stock Horse ring, Mark Gauci for the Western events, and our last‑minute but much‑appreciated Heavy Horse judge, Heather Light, a long‑standing and respected figure in the ring.
Our sincere thanks go to the helpers from Grafton Pony Club for your assistance throughout the day, and to Bindi Oates, Kerry Simmonds, and Deb Simmonds for your excellent marshalling. We also acknowledge the many ring stewards who kept everything running smoothly, including feeding officials and handling competitor enquiries.
The ring is never complete without the steady support of Alan Watkins and Neil Rhoades, and we extend our thanks to Lachlan and Reny Foster for your help in the office.
Congratulations to all competitors — your sportsmanship and presentation made the Horse Section a standout once again.
