And this week Mike DeNoma takes on the Furnace 508 Bike Ride -508 miles including some solid hills. No doubt that triple chain ring setup will come in handy!

Great Job Ben Rae, making the most of the Perfect Conditions at Berlin to set a 2.56 PB! This week sees Mike DeNoma taking on the Furnace 508 Bike Race, I've coached Mike off an don for over 10 years now, great to see him gearing up for this one!

Was great to present to the Triathlon Queensland Junior Dev Coaches today -some great input from all the coaches. Geez coaching junior triathletes is complex when you compare it to say run or bike coaching!

How long to develop capacity to run off the bike within 5% of fresh 5k/10k Pace? Thoughts?

LIMITED COACHING SPOTS AVAILABLE. Hi People, been a long time since I posted anything as I haven't been doing much coaching at all due to the Events Business taking all my focus! I am however now able to take on a small number of people right now. I am interested in coaching the slightly competitive longer distance triathlon person or the better juniors or emerging elite. Athletes need to be organised and self motivated. Next week I am presenting something to Triathlon Queensland Junior Coaches on long term development so that's going to be fun also! People just need to PM me here. Thanks Brendon

Well done to Anneke Jenkins on the weekend 2nd at Takapuna. Just need to remember to keep your helmet on running into T2. Good reminder that we all need to know the rules and practice our transitions!

Great stuff also to Anneke Jenkins eariler this month in winning the Mt Surf Breaker! Best I ever did there myself was 2nd! http://www.bayofplentytimes.co.nz/news/tauranga-athlete-runs-into-lead/1699377/

A quality field of mostly young athletes started the traditional Surfbreaker sprint triathlon at Mount Maunganui's main beach yesterday but it was 40-year-old Michael Pugh who took out the men's title in some style.
