The Currumbin Creek Paddlers Club now has two unbeatable locations:
1. Lake Orr – Sports House, 337 Christine Ave, Varsity Lakes. For members, boat shed storage is available at both locations, along with toilets/showers and a wash down facility for your paddle craft. Members also have access to club ocean skis and kayaks. Members receive regular emails notifying them of upcoming events and activit

ies. The club is fortunate to have two such versatile training locations. Therefore, the club has the ability to cater for sprint/marathon kayak paddlers, ocean ski paddlers as well as various recreational kayaks and canoes. There is coaching available for beginners through to advanced. There is the opportunity to take part in social club activities and/or participate in State and National competitions. The club proudly continues to produce and support some of Australia’s well-known greats, and up and coming paddlers. The CURRUMBIN CREEK boat shed is nestled on the Southern end of the Gold Coast, in parkland, on the edge of the beautiful Currumbin Creek. When you launch your chosen craft from the pontoon, you can either paddle your ways towards the thrill of the ocean or upstream into the sheltered waters of the creek. The LAKE ORR boat shed is centrally located at Varsity Lakes. Lake Orr is the ideal environment for competitive junior/senior paddlers, or those who use paddling for fitness. Being non-tidal, it’s much easier to accurately clock your times/performance. Squads meet daily to hit the water for training. Lake Orr also hosts junior learn to paddle sessions. It’s a great opportunity for the kids to give it a go and get paddling. REGULAR CLUB ACTIVITES AND TRAINING:

Great to see such strong support shown by the BrisSup Group who travelled down to the coast on the weekend to participate in the Currumbin Capers.

Janet Buchanan from the Club said: "There was a great SUP turnout with 15 BrisSUP paddlers at the Currumbin Capers friendly race day today. 5km & 10km distances. Well done guys! Sunny day after all the rain, but a pesky headwind tested the paddlers. Thanks Currumbin Creek Paddlers Club for organizing the event."

It's support like this that enables Clubs to put on events and races.
So bravo to the BrisSup Group for making the trip down, and we hope to see plenty of support in a few weeks for the upcoming Moreton Bay Ocean Paddle being run by Paddling Club
