Central Sixes – Senior Competition Wrap Up ⚽

What a fantastic way to close out the Central Sixes season! Congratulations to all of our Grand Final winners and Player of the Match recipients.

Community Division
F***a Than You secured a thrilling 3–2 win over The Shrubs, scoring a late goal to seal the victory.
🏅 Grand Final Player of the Match: Kalin Butt McGuire

Ladies Division
An incredible battle between Fallin' to Bits and Bits of Fury saw the match decided in a penalty shootout, with Bits of Fury taking the win.
🏅 Grand Final Player of the Match: Adele Lambery

Socials Division
Young and the Hopeless claimed a strong 3–1 victory over Done N Dusted.
🏅 Grand Final Player of the Match: Ashton Charalambous, recognised for a dominant and controlled performance.

A huge special mention goes to Adele Codrington, who was crowned Senior Player of the Sixes after an incredible 9 Player of the Match performances across the competition. A massive effort and very well deserved! An absolute goalkeepering masterclass across the whole competition!!

Congratulations to all teams who made the Grand Finals and took home the prize money, and thank you to every team that participated this season. We appreciate the great competition and atmosphere throughout the Central Sixes.

We look forward to seeing everyone back again next season!

SENIOR SIXES GRAND FINALS – RESCHEDULED

Due to the fields being too wet to play on tonight, all Senior Sixes Grand Final matches have been rescheduled to Wednesday night, the 4th of March.

This decision has been made in the interest of player safety and to protect the condition of the fields so that our Grand Finals can be played in the best possible environment.

If Wednesday night is also unable to proceed due to field conditions or weather, the team that finished top of the ladder in their respective division will be declared Grand Final Winners for the 2026 season.

We appreciate everyone’s understanding and look forward to seeing a big crowd on Wednesday to celebrate the end of the Senior Sixes.

Finals night is here… and it’s time for our Senior divisions to take centre stage! 💪⚽

We’re set for a massive night of football, fun, and a few bragging rights on the line, so bring the energy and let’s finish the season in style!

Please double-check your kick-off times. Matches will run strictly on schedule to keep the night flowing smoothly.

🏅 Presentations
Prize Money presentations will take place shortly after each Grand Final wraps up. We encourage all teams to hang around, support one another, and celebrate the efforts of every division.
Whether you’re lifting the cheque or finishing with a play-off win, every team deserves a big send-off 👏

👉 Important Reminder
All teams are playing tomorrow night — not just the Grand Finalists. Every team has one final hit-out to close the season, so let’s make it a night to remember for everyone involved!

• Player of the Grand Final will be announced during each division’s Prize Money ceremony.
• To wrap up the night, we’ll crown our Senior Player of the Sixes, recognising an outstanding campaign across the entire competition.

⚽ Central Sixes Carnival – Junior Wrap Up 🖤🤍

What an incredible few weeks it has been wrapping up the Junior division of our Central Sixes Carnival!

Firstly, we want to say a huge thank you to every single player who took the field each week. Your effort, sportsmanship and enthusiasm are what make this carnival so special. To our parents and families, thank you for your unwavering support on the sidelines, the encouragement, and the weekly commitment travelling to and from the grounds. Community sport simply doesn’t happen without you.

🏆 Grand Final Winners

U6/8 Champions – Fury
Congratulations to Fury on taking out the U6/8 Grand Final! An amazing effort and a fantastic way to finish the carnival.
👏 A big congratulations to Zepher Leather, our U6/8 Grand Final Player of the Match!

U9/10 Champions – Sharks
Well done to Sharks for their outstanding performance in the U9/10 division. A brilliant campaign capped off in style! An undefeated run to the end!

Congratulations to Crossfires on their U11/12 Grand Final victory. A strong and determined performance all carnival long. A battle fought right down to the last few minutes!

A massive congratulations to Apex Predators, our U13/15 Grand Final Champions. An exceptional effort and a well-deserved result!

👏 Individual Awards

A special congratulations to Jayden McGhee, our Junior Referee of the Sixes. Jayden’s professionalism, confidence and consistency throughout the carnival was amazing. We are incredibly proud of the way he represented himself and our junior referee program.

Another huge congratulations to Levi Mortimer, our Junior Player of the Sixes, awarded to the player who accumulated the most Player of the Match awards across the campaign. A fantastic individual achievement and a testament to your hard work and performance week in, week out. Keep doing you Levi!

To every team, every volunteer, every referee, and every supporter, thank you for making our Junior Central Sixes such a success. The smiles, the teamwork, the sportsmanship and the community spirit are what our club is all about.

🏆 Central Sixes – Junior Grand Finals Night! 🏆

Finals night is here and we’re looking forward to a fantastic evening celebrating all of our junior players!

⚽ Please take note of your game times – matches will run strictly to schedule.

🏅 Presentations will take place shortly after each age group’s Grand Final, so we ask teams and families to remain in the area to support the medal ceremonies and celebrate the players.

👉 Important Reminder:
All teams are playing tomorrow night, regardless of whether you are in a Grand Final or a play-off match. Every team has one last game to finish the season, so let’s make it a great send-off for all players!

🌟 During each age group’s medal ceremony, we will also announce the Player of the Grand Final for that division.

🌟 At the conclusion of the evening, we will also be announcing the Junior Player of the Sixes. We encourage everyone to stick around, enjoy the atmosphere, and help us recognise this special achievement.

Reminder – No Dogs Permitted at Central Fields During Games or Training.

We’d like to remind all players, families, and spectators that dogs are not permitted at the Central soccer fields during games or training sessions.

This is in line with local regulations and is in place to ensure the safety and comfort of all participants, especially our junior players, as well as to protect the playing surface and comply with venue requirements. This is local law and legation under the Animal Management Act 2008 QLD.

We understand that many of us love bringing our pets along, however we ask that you please leave them at home when attending football activities. The only exception applies where permitted by law (e.g. registered assistance animals).

We appreciate everyone’s cooperation and support in helping us provide a safe, family-friendly environment for all.

⚠️ Junior Semi Finals Postponed – Weather Update

Due to the fields being too wet and unplayable, all Junior Semi Final games scheduled for this afternoon and tonight have been cancelled.

The safety of our players is our priority, and current conditions make it unsafe to proceed.

📅 All fixtures from tonight will now be rescheduled to this Wednesday Night, 18th of February.

We appreciate everyone’s understanding and flexibility, and we look forward to seeing the teams back out there on Wednesday.
