Dropped into the Benaraby Nursery on this beautiful day to buy some Lilly Pillies for an upcoming secret hedged room in the garden.

As soon as I walked in I was nicely greeted and asked if I needed any help and once I decided how many to get the young girl helped me carry them all out to my car.

They have a great variety of plants and amazing service. If you haven't been to the nursery before I'd highly recommend seeing the lovely ladies there.

I hope everyone's getting out and about in your gardens ready for the next Garden Awards in September!!!

Good luck and happy gardening 🌳🏆

What a shock this was, thank you to the judge Mike Wells. Got Reserve Champion in 2013 last time we entered, then to win Grand Champion this year, still can't belive it.

12/09/2016

Judging has started. We have a whopping 66 entries. The weather seems to be holding out - just hope it doesn't get too hot for our guy from Toowoomba!

10/09/2016

Here's the plan for judging - but it's only a plan. If it pours rain then all bets are off. And we usually run late or early which means we could be somewhere earlier or laterer than expected.
Mon afternoon: South Gladstone
Mon afternoon: New Auckland??? if not Thurs morning
Tues morning: Tannum, Pacific Ranch, Benaraby
Tues afternoon: Benaraby, Calliope
Wed morning: Kirkwood, Beecher
Wed afternoon: Beecher, Mt Larcom, Ambrose, Bracewell
Thurs morning: Kin Kora, New Auckland, Yarwun
Thurs afternoon: West Gladstone, Sun Valley

Good Luck to everyone who has entered. The judge will be on a tight timetable and won't have time to answer your questions while judging, but will be happy to chat on Wednesday and Friday evenings.

06/09/2016

This is the last week for entries. We have 56 so far. And there's still seats on the bus tour but get in quick. Good Luck to all.

20/08/2016

Just 3 weeks to go. Better start pulling those weeds. We have 35 entries so far but no juniors. Where are all the young gardeners???
