Jigarre Jammin' - we're making music Each month Girgarre holds a wonderful musical event JIGARRE JAMMIN'. Come along and join in for a musical experience for all abilities.

Held on the 4th Saturday of every month from 1.30pm - 4pm February to November. $5 donation BYO lunch

Today Jigarre jammin’ attracted 31 musos from the far reaches of Victoria and locally. The day began with a lovely Accoustic Walk up session, a couple of Workshops followed to help with technique and playing together….then 4 leaders shared some rousing songs as we lifted the roof of the Town Hall…we acknowledge those who take leadership at times like this, MC Lorraine, workshops Audrey n Di, sound for the arvo Glenn , projectionist Lyn, cashier Geoff, and the leaders Glenda, Rae and Audrey.
We are forever grateful for those putting chairs out (and in again) the floor sweepers and anyone who assisted with kitchen cleanup and pack away .
We pride ourselves on inclusiveness, and congratulate anyone who braved up to deliver a song to us alone…..well done…and thank you all for coming together to enjoy the day of music.

If dates sneak up and you want to make Jigarre Jammin’ events a priority, go to your calendar and diaries NOW and block out the 4th Sat of every month except Dec and Jan. All JJ events including camps have always fallen on the 4th Sat. of that month. The Muster measure involves the 2nd Sunday ( Town Market Day!!) - you too can be more organised now.

* Jammin from the screen with Di, Glenda, Raelene and Audrey after lunch.
BYO lunch n snacks and mug,
A song or two to sing and your fav instrument .
* $5 each for the day

Our next April Campover is looming- I hope your car is full of fuel and you are planning to join us Fri,Sat,Sun next weekend ( inc Anzac Day celebrations at Girgarre Cenotaph on Sat) .
We understand this IS a difficult time with the cost of travel, esp if you live far away.
Concerts, open mics, Hat Bands and Gospel will feature most this camp with an arvo of Jigarre Jammin and much comeraderie as we play together around the camp.
The fees are $30 cash for campers.
As always we will insist on safe, sensible and considerate camping, with guy ropes etc lit up at nights and organised emergency exits across the area.
Looking forward to seeing you there.

This Sat 28th is our first Jigarre Jammin’ for 2026… come before 10.30 to check out our new program
10.30 - Walk ups
11.30- new program in 2 rooms
After lunch - 3 presenters bringing a multitude of different songs!
3.15 - Arvo tea to chat before we disperse.
We would love to catch up with you all- bring a friend!

We are all disappointed at the early closure of the Muster.
Somebody put a comment on behalf of the muster seeking
~ I innocently stated moments that excited me only to find out it was out of place . I’m sorry if this has inconvenienced anyone , or built hopes that the muster was reinstated . It most definitely will be on again in 2027!!!

Girgarre’s Market for tomorrow - Sunday 11th January - has been cancelled due to ongoing state of emergency In Victoria. Stay safe everyone, it will be back next month.
