10 Year Reunion of the 2015 Gilgandra Coo-ee March and Tooraweenah Kookaburra March.
An open invitation to all the marchers and support people who participated in any way in the 2025 centenary re-enactments of the โSnowballโ Recruitment Marches of 1916 & 1916.
Pass it on to others who may be interested.
The reunion will be held in conjunction with the 2025 Goin to Gil and Under the Gums Festival to be held in Gilgandra on the October Long Weekend Friday 3rd to Monday 6th October 2025.
We encourage you all to join in the commemorative service and the street parade. Dress up in period costume or blue jackets and white hats available for the march.
Saturday 4th October
Meet and Greet from 11am at the Gilgandra Services Club. The club Courtesy Bus is available for those who want to join in the fun in comfort. Let me know
Blue jackets and hats available at the club. Bring your flags and banners.
12md join in the commemorative service in front of the Coo-ee Soldier Statue in Miller St Gilgandra before the street parade.
Marshall in Bridge Street to participate in the street parade from Bridge Street to Hunter Park (about 1km)

Transport back to the Services Club
The Under the Gums event opens 1.30pm at the Heritage and Visitors Information Centre. Markets and childrenโs area. Concert til late featuring Bluey, Lane Pittman, Abbie Ferris, Splashpool, Daryl Braithwaite and more.
Food and beverage vans available. Shuttle bus around town and from neighbouring towns.

Coo-ee Calling Competition
11am at the Library Hub in Miller Street

Live entertainment in the hotels and clubs, buskers and markets. Coo-ee Calling Competition and the Gilgandra Tractor and Machinery Club Show and Swap Meet.
The Coo-ee Gallery at the Heritage Centre will have a display of previous re-enactments and booklets for sale. You may be aware that the St Ambrose Church is in danger of collapsing. To raise funds, St Ambrose is holding an art show over the weekend at Feetham House. Support them if you can.
Brett Garling made the Coo-ee Soldier Statue in Gilgandra.
Another statue in Tooraweenah depicts the soldier casting of his uniform and gun and picking up the plough. It is worth a look.
