🐾 Fireworks Safety Reminder This New Year’s Eve 🐾

As we prepare for NYE 2025 celebrations across Tasmania, we’d like to remind everyone to take extra care of their pets, animals, poultry, and livestock, including dogs, cats, horses, cows, sheep, chickens, and other animals during fireworks displays.

Fireworks can be stressful for animals, but a little preparation can go a long way:

* Keep pets indoors during fireworks
* Secure livestock such as horses, cows, and sheep well before dusk
* Ensure poultry and animals are safely enclosed in familiar areas
* Close windows, doors, and curtains to reduce noise and flashes
* Play soft music or leave a radio on to help mask loud sounds
* Check fences, gates, cages, and enclosures are secure
* Never take animals to fireworks displays

ONLY 2 SLEEPS TO GO – New Year’s Eve in the Square (Regent Square)

We’re counting down and it’s shaping up to be a HUGE night

FREE ENTRY, NO TICKETS

5pm–9pm: Family Fun
Bring the kids along for an evening packed with activities, Train and Pony rides, entertainment and plenty to keep little (and big) people smiling.

9.30pm: Fireworks
Grab a spot, look to the sky and enjoy a spectacular fireworks display as we welcome the New Year. Check out page they are running a photo comp with a neat prize

After the 9.30 fireworks, Party on.
Once the fireworks wrap up, stick around (or come back!) to party the night away with live music, a bar in the Square, and great vibes to finish the year right.

Midnight Count it down with our midnight fireworks signaling the new year is here.

👉 A quick heads up: we’ve had a couple of food vendors drop out due to illness, but we still have plenty of food options available on the night. We won’t have a coffee van this year, but the tuckinn event catering do coffee and fizzy fixes does iced coffee, so if you need a caffeine hit you will still be able to get it

No tickets, just turn up, bring your crew and celebrate with the community.

This is one night you don’t want to miss.

Kelly's BACK this New Year’s Eve.

The Amazing Kelly will be joining us again this New Year’s Eve, bringing her incredible face painting skills and a splash of colour to the celebrations!

From sparkles to superheroes, butterflies to bold designs, Kelly’s face painting is always a crowd favourite

She will be there from 5pm-9pm

Face painting: $10 per person
(One of the few activities with a small cost)

Come early, pick your design, and add some extra colour to your New Year’s Eve fun

Get ready to rock your way into 2025, because the Smoking Elmores are hitting the stage at Regent Square.

They’ll be belting out the tunes from 8:30pm right through to midnight so you can dance, sing, and celebrate under the stars.

And don’t worry… we’ve got the good stuff covered:
