(25)

Hi everybody,
My name is Mollie Anic- myself and my parents, Sue and Mick Anic started this walk back in 2011, with the aim to bring and create awareness of ASD in the Geelong community. We were inspired to create this event as my younger brother, Cooper has ASD. We are a not-for-profit organisation, with all donations having been successfully donated to creating a life skills unit at a local spec

ial school, and now, donations go to sensory products for all 4 of Geelongs Special Schools. We will have merchandise available on the day, with all donations going towards the sensory products. Our next walk was to be held again on Sunday, 5th April 2020, starting at Steam Packet Gardens, next to the Wharf Shed Cafe at 11:30am for a 12pm take off but was cancelled due to Covid 19
We will keep you updated on this page with new & exciting news & continue to share helpful information

Our Story

Hi everybody,

My name is Mollie Anic- myself and my parents, Sue and Mick Anic started this walk back in 2011, with the aim to bring and create awareness of ASD in the Geelong community. We were inspired to create this event as my younger brother, Cooper has ASD. We are a not-for-profit organisation, with all donations having been successfully donated to creating a life skills unit at a local special school, and now, donations go to sensory products for all 4 of Geelongs Special Schools. We will have merchandise available on the day, with all donations going towards the sensory products. Our next walk will be held on Sunday, 5th April 2020, starting at Steam Packet Gardens, next to the Wharf Shed Cafe at 11:30am for a 12pm take off. This event is a free event, with no need to register. The days proceedings begin with a short walk down the waterfront, where we will finish near the Promenade, follwed by some short speeches, and some family fun activities such as a fun farm, jumping castle, face painting/balloon sculpting, provider information tables and a sausage sizzle with a gold coin donation. We look foward to seeing everybody there :)
