Webster’s dictionary defines an Artifact as any object made, modified, or used by humans, such as tools, pottery, or art, that holds cultural, historical, or scientific significance.

We define Artifact an excellent metalcore band, and the eighth act joining our massive Drencher Fest 2026 lineup!

Based in Wagga Wagga, Artifact have been making their mark, having shared the stage with the likes of Nortlane, Windwaker, Within Destruction, and Nicolas Cage Fighter.
Their unique style of metalcore incorporates elements of progressive and melodic metal, while being accentuated by dual vocals that contrast like fire and ice.

Artifact’s latest EP ‘UMBRA’ released in February through Bleeding Art Collective, garnered rave reviews online and marks a huge step forward in the band’s sound.

We anticipate that in many years (and we mean MANY years) archaeologists will dig up Artifacts releases and we hope the irony will not be lost on them.

🌊 Like an angle grinder through molars, Tongue Scum hit our Drencher Fest lineup with the biting ferocity that earned them recent support slots for Finnish veterans Rotten Sound as well as Pig Destroyer and Wormrot, and cemented their reputation as one of Melbourne’s filthiest grind-core acts.

🌊 We know what you’re thinking, and no, this isn’t an A Current Affair segment about dodgy Toyota Prius’s; this is the real deal. We’re talking Hybrid Nightmares at Drencher 26’, baby!

Starting out in 2007, Hybrid Nightmares have established themselves as veterans of the Australian Black Metal scene playing shows all around the country with notable support slots for Cradle of Filth, Batuska and Fleshgod Apocalypse.

Over the years they have steadily progressed and developed their sound and stage show into an energetic must see event.

Did someone say… W.A.? Our guests from the west, we bring you Allocer !

Residing in Perth, this group of rocking quokkas have been doing their special brand of death metal for over 4 years now, dropping two massive EPs entitled The First Offering and Worship (described by the band as “a heavy tip of the hat to The Black Dahlia Murder”)

Allocer (Pronounced ALLO-SIR for the uninitiated) are on the bill for the Perth legs of the upcoming Dethfest and Shredfest after making a name for themselves with killer live sets including landing support slots with heavy hitters Pig Destroyer and Wormrot late last year.

They might be 2 hours behind the rest of Australia but these guys sound ahead of their time. So I guess the best way to describe them is… AEST?

🌊 Drencher Festival is stoked to announce the Victorian return of two legendary Sydney acts, as well as one familiar favourite that form the first bands on this year’s mega Drencher lineup:

After years away in the depths we are proud to announce that Segression will be playing Drencher Festival 2026! Having toured extensively here and overseas and consistently on lineups with international acts, Segression are one of Australia’s finest metal exports. They are also celebrating 30 years since the band’s first iteration, which is a better reason than any to come see them and help put the U in Nu-Metal!

You know who else was around ‘back in the day’? Returning from 22 years in obscurity we present to you, Infernal Method! Comprising members from Alarum, Automation, Switchblade and countless others, their style of melodic death metal will have you saying “where has this band been my whole life?” (if you’re 22).

Surfacing from the shallows, they’re back again and better than last year (we hope), making their way down the long and treacherous Princes Freeway, it’s our favourite and yours, it’s Munitions. It’s been a great year thus far for Munitions, but the best is yet to come. Having finished writing and soon to record a new album, while also gearing up to support Origin, Exhumed and Obscura on their upcoming Australian tours.

Hey guys big things to announce in the coming weeks however want to take this moment to share something very close to us.

Dave Weir has been a huge part of and supporter of Drencher since day one, he has done sound for all but one of our events and also all the other gigs any of us have played or organised in the past in the area.
On top of this his extensive credentials with touring bands and other local artist.

Dave and his family are having a bit of a tough time at the moment with some recent life events.
In light of this, there is a benefit/fundraiser gig down at the Barwon Club hotel today with all proceeds going to the Weir family.
There is also some big prizes to be won via Raffle.

If anyone can get down there today to help support we highly encourage you to do so.

There is also a GoFundMe setup that any amount no matter how small is welcomed.
