Fingal Bay parkrun is a FREE weekly timed 5km event for runners of all standards, which takes place every Saturday at 8am in Fingal Bay, Port Stephens, Australia. parkrun is not a race against other runners, but a 5k timed run and it can really be whatever you want it to be, whether that's for fun or as part of a training plan. It offers an opportunity for all the local community, male or female, young or old, to come together on a regular basis to enjoy the beautiful surrounds and get physically active at the same time. We want to encourage people to jog or
run together irrespective of their ability – this event is truly open to all and best of all it really is FREE! Run Directors:

Thank you to all our volunteers for making our event so much fun and so inclusive. I literally received compliments from parkrun finishers saying how nice we are. Well deserved praise.

Congratulations to all our milestone achievers, including Lorraine who travelled from Newcastle to share her achievement with us.

And congratulations to everyone who received a PB today. Well earned.

Another Saturday, and another cracker of a parkrun at Fingal Bay!

A huge thank you to our wonderful volunteers who made Event #635 possible, and congratulations to our 123 fantastic finishers — visitors and locals alike. It’s always great to see a mix of familiar faces and newcomers enjoying our little patch of paradise.

A special welcome to our 20 first timers, including Samantha Sutton and Vanessa Wynne, who completed their very first parkrun. We hope it’s the first of many!

Congratulations to the 19 people who recorded PBs — some seriously speedy running out there this morning.

Well done Garry Nairne for reaching 10 volunteer credits. Thank you for embracing what parkrun can be, a fun and enjoyable community event.

And, as always, a massive shout-out to today’s 11 volunteers. Without you, there simply is no parkrun: Guy Brejwo, Clare Nash, Joanne Daley, Alison Hart, Steve Nash, Ken Wisemantel, Mark Folley, Garry Nairne, Kim Jones, Laurissa Moore and Fiona Mullen.
