Emerging from the murky edges of Magandjin/Murrumba, 'Eternally Grateful Forever' (EGF) channels a form of sonic storytelling that feels like slow-growing roots breaking through concrete. A self-composting soothsayer of sorts, their sound draws from slowcore, ambient decay, and textural fuzz — a form of new weird Australien gothic that reverberates with memory and the unresolved.

Influenced by the mood of wetlands, the grit of suburban gothic, and the practice of “staying with the trouble,” EGF crafts music that doesn’t offer answers — it lingers instead, inviting listeners to sit with discomfort, impermanence, and deep feeling. Live, their performances feel less like sets and more like seances — hypnotic, haunted, and quietly heavy.

Their ethos is simple: find ways to remember, not forget.

The poster spirals out from a single idea: Music as a living force — one that shapes us at the deepest level.⁣

Designed by Camille Therese [] & Maxi Sandeman-Strewe [.e.s.s], the piece is a portal — drawing from harmonic sequences, imagined constellations, and the natural geometry of sound.⁣

In early experiments, Camille and Maxi asked: How can we create a visual that feels as immersive as the artists themselves? Their shared inspirations — spirals, alignment, connection, and naivety — led them to the skies.

Maxi discovered a tool that maps future constellations by time and place. He input 20 June, Noosa. What appeared was more than coincidence — a loose but near-perfect spiral in the stars. Camille immediately saw it: a miraculous form echoing the torus, cymatics, and looping frequencies of music itself.⁣

Camille hand-drew the constellations; Maxi shaped the layout into a vortex. Together, they built a visual field alive with motion—playful, layered, and resonant. A star map. A signal. A message.⁣

Camille’s contribution reflects their interdisciplinary practice, rooted in material exploration and a refusal of medium hierarchy. They engage with the process as a dialogue, embracing resistance, tension, and momentum. The artwork doesn’t just depict music — it moves with it.⁣ If music is this powerful, then how we experience it — from frequency to feeling — shapes more than taste. It can shift mood, energy, and even desire.⁣
