We’ve seen a lot of love, comments and messages from people wishing we were a 2-day event. We wanted to pull back the curtain and share why we stick to a jam-packed, one-day-only format:

Our Amazing Volunteers: We are entirely volunteer-run, and quite frankly, we don't have the manpower to pull off a two-day event. Our team leaves it all on the field on Day One!

The "Day 2" Vanishing Act: History and our stallholders tell us that second days just don't work. By the end of the first day, all the best plants and "good stuff" are already gone. The few people who do attend a Sunday are usually just looking around, meaning vendors don't make enough money to make an extra day viable.

The Math Doesn't Add Up: Going to two days means doubling our running costs for equipment hire, security and insurance, we simply could not cover those extra expenses.

Perhaps next year we will come up with a plan to try and encourage people to come at lunchtime or after lunch, the crowd dies down significantly and there are still plenty of plants and everything left. In fact, it is actually the best time to shop because you can score some great deals on stock that the stallholders don't want to have to take home with them!

Thank you all so much for supporting us, buying all the plants, and making this year such a massive success. We couldn't do it without you! 🙌✨

🌱 OUR SPONSORS ARE THE HEART OF THE FAIR! 🌱

Now that the dust has settled on our 10-year celebration, we want to take a moment to shine a massive spotlight on our incredible sponsors. To put it simply: without their unwavering support, this event quite literally would not be able to run!

An event of this scale takes an immense amount of coordination, and it is the financial and in-kind support from these fantastic businesses that allows us to bring the magic of the fair to life year after year. They provide the vital resources, products, and funding that keep our gates open, our community smiling, and our small, volunteer-run garden club moving forward.

We are so proud to partner with organizations that care just as deeply about our region, our town, and our community spirit as we do. When you support our sponsors, you are supporting the very people who invest right back into making Esk such a vibrant place to live and visit!

To every single sponsor who stepped up, contributed, and believed in our vision for this milestone year—thank you from the absolute bottom of our hearts. ❤️

Wow, what a day! We are still catching our breath, but we want to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone who joined us on Saturday! ☀️🌱 Mother Nature completely turned it on for us with unprecedented warm weather—with that brilliant sunshine, you honestly wouldn’t have believed it was the middle of winter! It was hot.
We welcome a record-shattering crowd of 12,000 people, which includes all the kids, to our 10-year celebration! We couldn't have predicted this level of attendance—to say we were slammed is an understatement! To our incredible, hardworking stallholders who survived the massive rush, and to our absolute superstar team of 100 volunteers and our incredible committee (who are absolute saints!) who went completely above and beyond—we quite literally could not do this without you. "Thank you" doesn't seem to express our gratitude enough! ❤️
As a reminder, our Garden Club is completely not-for-profit. We don't do this as a day job; we do it simply because we absolutely love our town, we love our region, and we love seeing Esk shine! Every single dollar we make goes right back into funding next year’s event and our next public art installation for the community to enjoy. 🎨✨
We were definitely expecting to be busy, but we truly did not expect the massive crowd we got! With numbers that size, we know things got incredibly cozy, and we do want to sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused by the squeeze. We’ve heard the feedback that there wasn't enough seating. To be fair, we hired 650 chairs—which was literally everything the hire company has, honestly, we’d have to build a stadium to seat the crowd we had, and we're not sure the Council would approve that😂 We will, however, continue to work on improvements with our logistics, traffic flow, and gates to make things even smoother next time.
On that note, we do ask for a little kindness. Our team is made up entirely of volunteers—we aren't professional event planners, just passionate locals pouring our hearts into putting this fabulous event together. It is a bit disheartening for our volunteers when they receive nasty, frustrated comments about traffic or queues. Please remember the person behind the computer or at the gate is donating their time to support the event. If anyone wants to get behind the scenes and experience the madness firsthand next year, we would be only too happy to have you join our volunteer team! (We promise great company and hard work). 🤝🌟
Thank you all again for making our 10-year celebration an unforgettable milestone. Grab your calendars, because we are thrilled to announce that the next fair will be on June 19, 2027! See you then! 🌸🌿
